Well this is awful. We're all for a good parody, but the BBC just took things way too far with its portrayal Meghan Markle as American trailer park trash. The segment, which features Meghan as a doll, was featured on the spoof program Tonight With Vladimir Putin, and it's rallying fans to call for a boycott of BBC for its racism against the Duchess of Sussex.

  • According to Yahoo! News, the sketch includes Meghan threatening Kate Middleton, and warning her to keep out of her "trailer."

Meghan's character is asked, "What makes you angry?" and she responds that she gets mad when her sister-in-law asks to borrow her hairbrush. Meghan's doll angrily yells, "I say no because that's gross and then I leave my room and come back and I can tell she's used my hairbrush anyway because it's covered in skanky hair that's going gray and I say, 'Stay the f--k out of my trailer or I'll cut you, Kate."

  • Fans pointed out that they darkened Meghan's skin for the sketch, and gave her quite the accent.

What were they thinking? Meghan has always been proud of her biracial heritage, and playing to harmful stereotypes is just plain terrible. This sketch uses a half black woman to tear down other women of color, and it's not even funny. What's funny about threatening to kill your sister-in-law? Were they trying to play into the rumored feud between the duchesses? Because it just did not play well.

  • Fans flocked to Twitter to share their feelings about the BBC, with many calling for the network to be shut down.

  • We think the BBC definitely owes Meghan an apology over this one. The show took it way too far.
