Jessie J's Latest Channing Tatum Confession Stirs Up Jenna Dewan Comparisons

For some reason, we thought folks would let this new Hollywood couple be great (we really did), but obviously, certain people have yet to take a page from Frozen and let the past go. Case in point: Jessie J is opening up about Channing Tatum and their love. And of course, there are more than a handful of people who won't let up on comparing the Magic Mike star's new love to his ex, Jenna Dewan.
Jessie recently spoke to the Times about her relationship with Channing Tatum and meeting his daughter, 6-year-old Everly.
"She's just 6 and absolutely lovely," Jessie J tells the British publication about meeting Channing and Jenna's daughter for the first time -- and how it was anything but difficult.
"Chan and I got photographed before our relationship was even a thing and that created such pressure," she confesses.
"We've needed time to get to know each other. We've just had our first holiday together, which was wonderful, but that’s all I'm saying ..."
But in case anyone is wondering, Jessie is "very happy" with Channing. "Oh, I'm very happy on 21 Jump Street!" the singer jokes. "I always look for a guy with a good sense of humor and good morals. And hygiene. A man who showers is very important!"
Jessie J and Channing were first linked together in October. Although there are whispers about them being together before that, it's quite clear these two are enjoying each other's time and likely very much in love.
As sweet as it is to hear Jessie talk about Channing, sadly, all people can seem to do these days is compare her to Jenna Dewan.
... again.
This isn't the first time critics compared Jenna and Jessie in the looks department. In fact, things got so bad, Jessie addressed the comparison criticism in a powerful post.
"We are all BEAUTIFUL. We are enough just the way we are," she wrote in her post. "Be the best you!!! You can't wake up and be anyone but YOU. So please love your face, your body, your mind and your heart. Be good to yourself. And those around you."
Thankfully, there are people defending Jessie, challenging the haters to stop being so dang mean.
Not that Jessie needs people defending her, but this is pretty awesome. With so many comments focusing on Jessie resembling Jenna, it's great to see people rallying around her with love and support -- because we need more of that in this world.
We can do better.
Let people love who they love without throwing in digs or two cents no one asked for. Channing Tatum is in love with Jessie. Jenna has moved on with Steve Kazee. Enough is enough.
