Jason Momoa's Throwback 'Game of Thrones' Pic Reveals How 'Broke' He Was

Jason Momoa as Khal Drogo in Game of Thrones

Game of Thrones might be over, but that's not stopping fans of the long-running HBO hit series from strolling down memory lane -- including one of the hot Hollywood stars from Game of Thrones. If ya haven't seen it, Jason Momoa shared a GoT throwback photo that's delivering all the feels and comes with a message that has many in disbelief.

  • Jason took to Instagram to share an old pic of himself while filming Game of Thrones.

"So homesick. Looking through my phone I found this," Jason Momoa wrote in an Instagram post about his old photo (possibly circa 2011).

"Off the road some quiet parking lot in [D]onegal. It was an amazing simple moment with my best friend @captainriff ... Although Jason didn't become Aquaman a year after playing Khal Drogo on GoT, his career did in many ways take off. Sure, he starred on the TV series Stargate: Atlantis a couple of years prior -- and took on the role of Conan the Barbarian -- but Jason's star really took off after his time on Game of Thrones. He continued acting (even producing and directing his own projects) before we saw him as Arthur Curry (aka Aquaman) in the 2016 film Justice League -- leading to Aquaman in 2018.

  • This is the second behind-the-scenes GoT pic that recently popped up.

Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark) shared this never-before-scene Game of Thrones photo of herself, Maisie Williams (Arya Stark), and Isaac Hempstead-Wright (Bran Stark) between takes.

... and yes, our eyes are locked on Isaac's legs.

  • And yeah, it makes us kind of sad.

Outside of a number of plot holes during the GoT finale, we'll miss watching this show that often left us on the edges of our seats.
