Things don't appear to be getting any better for Aunt Becky and her family. Not only is Lori Loughlin facing up to 40 years behind bars for her alleged involvement in a college admissions scam, but it appears attorneys might have their eyes on her daughters. It looks like Lori is fearful her daughters will be "targets of prosecution" that has her feeling pressured to protect her family.

  • Apparently, one of Lori Loughlin's daughters "was under criminal investigation" because of the case.

Although it's unclear if Lori's daughter Isabella, 20, or Olivia Jade, 19, was the person of interest, People reports one of the former Fuller House star's daughters was in fact investigated -- which is pretty scary.

  • And Lori, as a result, is reportedly fearful prosecutors will come after them.

An unnamed insider tells People Lori and her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, have "every reason to believe their daughters "could be targets of prosecution."

"Lori will not do anything to put her daughters in harm’s way," the source explains to the publication about the couple's fears. "She is like a mama bear when it comes to the girls, and she will do whatever she has to do to protect them from prosecution, especially malicious prosecution. Her top priority in all of this is to protect her daughters."

  • "The prosecution could easily charge the daughters in an attempt to get them [Loughlin and Giannulli] to plead guilty," an insider tells People.

"But investigators have not disclosed any information that they may or may not have that would implicate either one of the daughters."

  • With Lori and her husband, Mossimo, pleading not guilty to charges brought against them, who knows how this will pan out?

Lori and Mossimo pleaded not guilty to charges against them -- including conspiracy to commit fraud and conspiracy to commit money laundering. (They also agreed to waive their right to appear in court for an arraignment.) It feels as if the walls slowly continue to close in on those involved in this scandal, so only time will tell if prosecutors choose to go after their daughters.
