Prince George's Classmates Reportedly Call Him by an Adorable Nickname
How cute! Prince George has been attending Thomas's Battersea school in south London for nearly two years now, and it seems as though he gets along very well with his classmates. According to reports, George is "popular" and friendly with everyone. His classmates have even given him a nickname, and it's not His Royal Highness.
Another parent at the school divulged to Vanity Fair that George's nickname is PG.
Short for Prince George, of course. "George is really happy at school, [and] his nickname is P.G.," another parent revealed. "He's very popular and has lots of friends, and there's very little fuss made about who he is."
The insider also revealed who does the daily school runs.
The same source dished, "Either William or Kate do drop off, and they are always very friendly. William particularly loves to have a chat with some of the other parents and he works out with some of the mums at the Harbour Club after drop off. He's very chatty and amiable."
How ... normal. We love that William and Kate are trying to give their kids as regular a childhood as possible. Obviously it's going to be privileged to some degree (they do live in a palace), but they're as hands-on as possible.
It's believed that Princess Charlotte will join her big brother soon at Thomas's Battersea in the fall.
She's been attending the Willcocks Nursery School in London for just over a year, but will likely join George in September. Word is she already has a nickname -- "Lottie" -- a popular abbreviation of Charlotte. She looks like a little Lottie! What a doll.
Even George's dad had a nickname when he was in school.
When Prince William was growing up, he was often referred to by the nickname "Wills." Even his brother, Prince Harry, is actually Prince Henry but prefers his nickname. It seems nicknames are big in the royal family -- we wonder if Prince Louis will go simply by Lou? We can't wait to find out.
