Well, there's a reason they say the show must go on. By now, we've all kept up with Lori Loughlin's college scandal debacle, but we haven't heard about what's going to happen to her role on Hallmark Channel's show When Calls the Heart. Well, that's all about to change because the show just made a very important statement about Lori's future.

  • The Hallmark drama show has reportedly been renewed for a seventh season and will very much continue without Lori.

According to People, during the premiere of the Hallmark movie Bottled With Love on Sunday, star of the show Erin Krakow made this statement: “You’ve already heard When Calls the Heart will returning with a special two-night event Sunday, May 5 and Monday, May 6,” Krakow said. “I’m also thrilled to announce When Calls the Heart season 7 coming next year! We can’t wait to get back to Hope Valley.”

Well ... there you have it, folks. When Calls the Heart is coming back sans Lori.

  • The actress was dropped by the network just a little over a month after the scandal broke.

The network stopped all developments of future projects with Lori and announced that it would not air any past content that features her.

Oof ... harsh, but we get it.

  • Eliminating an entire character on a show is hard work and can often upset fans, but Hallmark has a plan.

After Lori was given the boot by the network, series producer Brian Bird issued a statement updating fans on the status of the show and said that they are "retooling" without the actress.

If that doesn't show that Lori is officially on the outs, then we don't know what will.

  • Lori has a lot on her plate right now, so honestly, the future of her Hallmark Channel show is probably at the bottom of her mind.

It's now reported that the actress could face up to 40 years in prison, so we'd have to say that her acting future isn't the most important thing to worry about. With every passing day, jail time looks more and more like a reality for Lori and her husband, Mossimo Giannulli

It's still surreal that our Aunt Becky is right in the middle of this, but we guess it's time to pay the piper. Even if Lori does manage to avoid prison time, she certainly won't be welcome back at Hallmark Channel.
