“The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very grateful for the goodwill they have received from people throughout the United Kingdom and around the world as they prepare to welcome their baby,” the statement read.

”Their Royal Highnesses have taken a personal decision to keep the plans around the arrival of their baby private. The Duke and Duchess look forward to sharing the exciting news with everyone once they have had an opportunity to celebrate privately as a new family.”

The palace also announced that Harry and Meghan will take part in a small photo shoot/interview on the grounds of Windsor Castle with only one reporter, one photographer, and one TV camera.

Additionally, the palace will reveal when Meghan is in labor (!), and there likely will be an announcement once he or she is born on Harry and Meghan's new Instagram account

  • One thing Meghan won't be doing, though?

Posing on the steps of a hospital to wave to royal fans and reporters a la Kate Middleton.

Recently, it was reported that Meghan isn't doing this because her son or daughter isn't a direct heir to the throne. But it's also been reported that Meghan feels like doing so is too much like being in a "goldfish bowl."

  • It's still unclear whether Meghan is giving birth in a hospital or having her baby in the comfort of her own home.

And of course to catch a glimpse of baby.
