We've heard rumblings of Meghan Markle wanting a home birth before, but now that the duchess is reportedly a few weeks away from giving birth, the rumor is still going strong. A new report in the Daily Mail is claiming that Meghan plans on having a home birth, just as Queen Elizabeth did with all four of her children, at her new residence, Frogmore Cottage.

With barely any time left in her pregnancy, we'll find out soon enough!

  • Although Meghan reportedly hasn't completely ruled out a hospital birth, sources say she's hoping to give birth at home.

One of Meghan's friends in the US told the Daily Mail that the duchess, who still practices yoga every day, has "sailed" through her pregnancy and is in great health and doesn't see a reason why she couldn't have a perfectly safe birth at home.

"It is her favored choice," the source said. "But it obviously depends on how things are nearer the time."

  • It's not a huge surprise that Los Angeles native Meghan would want to give birth with as little doctor intervention as possible.

She's been vegan in the past. She's all about holistic practices. Her mom is a yoga instructor. And she's reportedly been practicing hypno-birthing.

    Need we say more?

  • If the duchess does opt for a home birth, she certainly wouldn't be the first woman in the royal family to do so.

Queen Elizabeth gave birth to all four of her children at home at either Buckingham Palace or Clarence House.

If anyone is under the impression that a home birth would bond Meghan and the Queen, eh, that's probably not the case. Recently, it was reported that Prince Harry and Meghan want little to do with the Queen's go-to doctors, surgeon-gynecologists Alan Farthing and Guy Thorpe-Beeston.

"When it comes to giving birth, every woman has to decide what's best for her and what's best for her baby. The queen's team will be involved, but it has not been decided how much yet," a source told the Daily Mail. "Opting for a home birth would also explain why there would be minimal need for a consultant, aside from confirming that the baby is fit and healthy."

  • Regardless of how Meghan decides to give birth, two things are reportedly certain.

One, Prince Harry is going to support her every step of the way (obviously); and two, she does not want to stand outside and wave to a crowd after her baby is born a la Kate Middleton.

Apparently, she (and perhaps the rest of the royal family?) feels it would be in bad taste, as her child isn't a direct heir to the throne. Also, she reportedly has said the Lindo Wing feels like a "goldfish bowl."

  • Home birth, hospital birth, really, it doesn't matter how the duchess welcomes her baby into this world.

The important thing is that he or she is safe, healthy, and happy.
