Meghan Markle is all about that natural lifestyle, so it's unsurprising that she has plans to raise her unborn child in a more "crunchy" manner than previously seen in the royal family. But she may be taking it a little bit too far with her reported plans to raise Baby Sussex as a vegan. According to reports, it's causing some tension with not only her husband, but also her grandmother-in-law, Queen Elizabeth.

  • A source reportedly told Woman's Day that Meghan wants to raise her baby with a strict diet devoid of any animal products.

The insider dished, "Meghan wants her baby to be raised a vegan," but apparently the queen is not on board. "It's created tense discussions between Meghan and Harry, who doesn't want to upset his grandmother. He's hoping Meghan will settle once the baby comes and he's putting this latest polarising idea down to heightened emotions while being pregnant."

  • The insider also claimed that Meghan's been "pushing the boundaries," and it may harm her relationship with the queen.

The source added, "Meghan keeps pushing the boundaries with the royals and it's not being well-received, least of all by [Her Majesty]. Meghan seems to have little regard for royal traditions but bringing up the baby up as a vegan simply won't be tolerated by the monarch."

  • It's not the first time during her first pregnancy that Meghan has raised eyebrows by eschewing tradition.

Earlier in 2018 she jetted across the pond for a lavish baby shower in New York City. While her in-laws obviously didn't forbid her from attending the soiree, she was reportedly "made aware" that "flashy" showers aren't done in the royal family.

She's also reportedly decided to skip giving birth at the famous Lindo Wing of St. Mary's Hospital, where Kate Middleton gave birth to all three of her children, and where Prince Harry himself was born to Princess Diana. And to add insult to supposed injury, she'd also allegedly rejected the queen's OB-GYN.

  • We're going to go ahead and call BS on this story.

Considering that Harry literally popped the question over an engagement chicken, we doubt she's planning on raising her kids as vegans. While she has stated that she sometimes follows a vegan diet, she obviously doesn't have a problem with animal protein.

And even if she and Harry want their kids to be vegans, we doubt the queen would really raise a ruckus about it. She and Meghan seem to get along so well, we more imagine the queen patting the duchess's arm and saying, "Well isn't that nice. I'm sure you're making sure they're healthy."
