We're not even halfway through 2019 yet, and where celebrity relationships are concerned, it's been a doozy. Sure, there have been a lot of Hollywood breakups, but there are tons of celebs starting new relationships too. Whether they got together at the end of 2018 or decided to start fresh with a brand new partner this year, there seems to be a whole lot of new hookups -- and we can't help but root for these new couples. Something about being able to see their love stories play out on social media and in news stories really draws us in.

And before long, we become so invested.

Some of these relationships are truly unexpected as they seem to come totally out of left field (Kate Beckinsale and Pete Davidson, anyone?) Others involve people who moved on from incredibly difficult (and public) breakups, making it impossible for us not to cheer them on for finding happiness again. But no matter what led them to finding their new partners, it's hard not to want these celebrities to find their happy endings.

They totally deserve it!

The craziest part is that this is still the first half of the year, so these are only some of the celeb couples that will form in 2019. There are already so many -- and we're just getting started, people. But if this list is any indication, this could end up being a huge year for happy couples, which could be a very good thing. We're not going to turn down a chance to believe that true love really does exist!

Here are the brand-new couples we're rooting for in 2019. It's still too early to tell if these relationships will go the distance, but so far, it seems they're off to a pretty good start -- and they do look pretty cute together. That has to count for something, right?

  • Kate Beckinsale & Pete Davidson

After his engagement to Ariana Grande went up in flames, fans have been more than a little confused about Pete Davidson dating Kate Beckinsale. But being that they've been seen in public more than once this year, it's undeniable. And as Us Weekly pointed out, Kate's been brushing off the backlash she's getting for their relationship like a pro.

    Maybe they'll beat the odds?

  • Channing Tatum & Jessie J.

It was heartbreaking to hear about Channing Tatum's split from Jenna Dewan, but he's moving on (she is, too), and we couldn't be happier for him. These days, Channing's dating Jessie J., and he even shared this emotional post for her birthday this year, writing:

Wishing you the happiest day filled with all the love and all the light. You came into this world on this day and lit it on fire. You have blessed our eyes, our ears, our hearts and our lives. So thank you for just being you. You are so very special. Happy birthday Baby.
  • Jenna Dewan & Steve Kazee

And as far as Jenna Dewan is covered? She's in a new relationship too. Jenna is dating Steve Kazee, who she started seeing at the end of 2018. Steve Kazee is a Tony Award winner and major player in the theater world. He seems to make her very happy, which is basically all that matters.

  • Colton Underwood & Cassie Randolph

Speaking of Bachelor romances ... this one is the newest. After Colton and Cassie almost broke up during this season's finale, it was touch and go for awhile there. But after the show, they've been inseparable. They might not be engaged yet, but it seems as if they've already proven a lot of fans wrong.

Could a proposal be coming later this year?

  • Chris Harrison & Lauren Zima

Our jaws fully dropped back in January when we found out that Chris Harrison and Lauren Zima are now a couple. Could it be more perfect for this Bachelor host to be dating an Entertainment Tonight reporter and longtime Bach fan? They're so cute together, and we can't believe they didn't start dating sooner.

  • Cory Booker & Rosario Dawson

Because Cory is basically everyone's political crush, it's hard not to be jealous of Rosario ... but these two seem so happy together. She confirmed their relationship in March while talking to TMZ, and only had positive things to say, because duh, it's Cory Booker.

"I am just grateful to be with someone that I respect and love and admire so much," she said.
  • Jenny Slate & Ben Shattuck

Word first got out that the Parks and Recreation alum was seeing someone new in January. And now, it's hard to deny that Jenny Slate and Ben Slattuck are dating. According to People, Jenny and Ben were seen at Sundance together getting pretty cozy. No word on whether they're official official, but it's definitely looks as if something's going on.

  • Halsey & Yungblud

After her turbulent relationship with G-Eazy, fans are really happy to see her with Yungblud, especially because she seems so happy with him. Their collaboration, "11 Minutes," turned out to be a hit that ended up leading them to each other. So far, they seem to have amazing chemistry -- just check out Halsey's latest Instagram posts.

  • Zac Efron & Sarah Bro

In March, Zac Efron attended a UFC fight in Las Vegas with Olympic swimmer Sarah Bro, according to E! Online, leading people to speculate they were on a date. What's more? Zac and Sarah have been Instagramming from the same location a lot lately. Seems like a new couple to us.

Now, we wait for them to make it Instagram official.

  • Olivia Munn & Tucker Roberts

At the end of 2018, rumors started swirling that Olivia Munn had a new man in her life. And now, it seems as if those rumors were true. According to People, she and Tucker Roberts attended a New Year's Eve party together, which is a pretty big deal.

Doesn't that set the tone for how a budding couple will spend the rest of the year?

  • Miranda Lambert & Brendan McLoughlin

Fans were shocked when Miranda Lambert announced she had met the "love of her life" before revealing to the world she secretly got married! In February, Miranda shared the big news on Instagram, and now, she and Brendan reportedly want children ASAP and just made their first public appearance.

Hey -- when ya know, ya know, right?

  • Jim Carrey & Ginger Gonzaga

Is there anything sweeter than when costars fall in love? In January, news broke that Jim Carrey is dating Kidding costar Ginger Gonzaga. They made their red carpet debut at Showtime's Golden Globes party, and so far, they seem incredibly happy together.

Looks like a perfect match to us!

  • Kaitlyn Bristowe & Jason Tartick

We were worried about Kaitlyn Bristowe after her split from her Bachelorette final pick, Shawn Booth. But now, she seems happier than ever with another Bach alum, Jason Tartick. Kaitlyn and Jason started dating in the beginning of 2019, after some serious flirtation at the end of last year. So far, things seem to be getting serious pretty quickly.

Could we have another engagement on our hands sooner rather than later?

  • Jake Gyllenhaal & Jeannie Cadieu

Romance really started to heat up between Jake and French model Jeannie at the end of the year, and now, it looks like they're still going strong. Apparently, she's just Jake's type -- at least, according to what a source close to the new couple told Us Weekly.

"Jeanne is very mature for her age. She's quirky, smart and loves history, reading; she’s a really great and well-rounded person," the insider said. "She and Jake really took things slow, but are now pretty serious."

  • Timothee Chalamet & Lily Rose Depp

These two may try to remain as private as they can about their relationship, but they're definitely adorable when they've been caught out in public. Toward the end of last year, they were caught exhibiting some major PDA in New York, basically confirming that they're a thing. It's okay, we're into it.

    Young love, right?

  • Sienna Miller & Lucas Zwirner

Yes, it's true: Sienna has found love with art gallery owner Lucas Zwirner. The relationship is still new, but in March, they took at trip to Paris Fashion Week, which is obviously a big deal. They say people learn a lot about their partner when they travel with them, and so far, it seems their relationship passed the test.

Rami Malek and Lucy Boynton originally met while filming Bohemian Rhapsody together. Rumors swirled for months that there might be sparks between them. But it wasn't until January 2019 that Rami actually acknowledged their relationship publicly. According to Us Weekly, he thanked her in his acceptance speech for the Breakthrough Artist Award at the Palm Springs Film Festival, officially confirming that they are dating.

"Thank you, Lucy Boynton. You have been my ally, my confidant, my love. Thank you so much," he said.

    So sweet!

  • Nikki Bella & Artem Chigvintsev

After meeting on Dancing With The Stars, who would've known that Nikki and Artem would end up here? Obviously, Nikki's breakup with John Cena made headlines last year, but that's old news. According to People, she and Artem are casually dating, so it's good to hear that she's moved on. Maybe everything worked out for the best in the end?

And at least we know they make good dance partners.

  • Ricki Lake & Jeff Scult

A post shared by Ricki Lake (@rickilake) on

This Masked Singer star recently started dating Jeff Scult, and anyone who follows her on Instagram, knows she seems head over heels for this man. According to Your Tango, Jeff owns his own clothing brand, One Golden Thread, and he seems to be making Ricki very happy. It's pretty fun to follow along with their life together, so they might actually have a chance at making their romance last.

  • Jeannie Mai & Young Jeezy

This is an interesting one, but we still love it. On an episode of The Real back in January, Jeannie admitted that she's "multidating," but there's one man she's seeing in particular.

"[Rapper] Jeezy and I hang out," she said at the time. "He's very special to me, so we don't really have a label to define what it is we're doing. We're just having a good time together."
