It's safe to say things are getting very real. Lori Loughlin faces 20 years in prison for her alleged involvement in a college admissions scam. Although she's not the only one who might get the book thrown at her, it's crazy to think life behind bars could be the reality for the woman we loved to call Aunt Becky.

  • Lori Loughlin and Felicity Huffman were two of many defendants who stood in front of a judge on Wednesday.

Back in March, Lori, Felicity, and 48 others were charged in a "massive bribery scam." Together, they allegedly shelled out $25 million to ensure certain kids gained admission into some of the most prestigious colleges across the country.

And by certain kids, we mean their own.

  • They're facing the maximum sentence: 20 years in a federal prison, a $250,000 fine, and three years probation.

    Yikes.

Seeing as Lori Loughlin and her husband, Mossimo Giannulli -- who's also facing time behind bars -- reportedly paid $500,000 to make their daughters (Isabella, 20, and Olivia Jade, 19) look like recruits for the USC crew team (spoiler: They had no involvement with the team) -- and each dished out $1 million bail --  the $250,000 fine is likely a welcome punishment.

  • Needless to say, people are baffled with the potential jail time Aunt Becky might do.

Although critics do believe there should be some punishment for breaking the law, they think 20 years is too much considering the type of crime Lori and others involved allegedly committed -- compared to those who are enjoying freedom right now who've done much worse.

  • Yeah, we're speechless.

Some reports say Lori and others won't get a plea deal without jail time, so there could be a very high chance we'll see more than a few people go to jail.

With Fuller House and Hallmark parting ways with Lori, we wonder how this will all shake out.
