20 Costars Who Hated Working With Each Other

With all the drama that goes on in Hollywood, it's hard to keep track of which actors love each other and which despise each other. There's practically a new feud every week, and with all the makeups and breakups that go on in between, it can definitely be overwhelming. (Plus, not every feud is publicized.) In fact, many of the stars we love for their on-screen chemistry and friendships actually kinda despise other in real life. Sure, they may have made us fall in love with them, but they seriously were not in love with each other.

We guess that's why they call it acting, right?

While some of these actors went on to make classic films and TV shows that live on forever, it likely was not an easy road to get there. We can't imagine having to work with someone we dislike every day -- for years in some cases! But that's just what many of these stars did, and we've got to give them props. Sometimes, these stars have to see each other long after filming has wrapped. Between promotional tours and sequels, these actors are usually contractually obligated to spend lots of time with the person they most hate. Plus, these feuds live on in history and are often reignited via social media or in an interview.

And just like that, the war is back on. (The public never forgets!)

From frenemies to exes, and everything in between, check out this list of 20 costars that hated working with each other.

Rumor has it that although the chemistry on screen was hot and heavy, it took many shoots and reshoots to make it seem that way. Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan's real-life chemistry just wasn't there.

These two played BFFs on the small screen when they starred in Gossip Girl, but actually, weren't friends at all once the cameras stopped rolling -- which totally explains why there have been no pictures of them together since the show wrapped.

Awkward. While these two didn't always hate each other (they had a short-lived marriage), things quickly grew uncomfortable after their divorce. They were forced to work with each other for years post-split.

We can't even imagine!

These Star Trek costars have a longstanding feud that they still hold on to, even to this day. They aren't fans of each other on or off set and have commented on their fight multiple time to the press through out the years.

These two had amazing chemistry in scenes from the hit show Sex and the City, which just goes to show just how amazing these two actresses are. Rumor has it that Kim Catrell wasn't pleased with all the praise SJP got from the show. The feud recently started up again when Catrell publicly bashed the series' movies and said she would never reprise her role as Samantha Jones.

This one is shocking as these two dated for years after wrapping The Notebook. But initially, Ryan apparently wasn't into Rachel and even asked to have her recast during the early days of filming.

These two starred in the Nickelodeon series Victorious together and let it be known that they weren't exactly BFFs after the show was canceled. They got into a Twitter war and exchanged some pretty mean jabs, throwing one another under the bus for the show's cancellation.

Yikes!

It's been reported that Lea was the reason that Naya got kicked off the show Glee. These two really didn't like each other and allegedly, would sometimes even fight on set. All of that, however, might be hearsay as Naya recently said he never had beef with Lea -- so who knows.

While it's not totally clear what happened between this on-screen husband and wife, we do know that jealousy might've been involved. It got so bad that Tisha eventually quit the hit show Martin and filed a sexual harassment suit against Lawrence.

But time might've healed all wounds as Tisha and Martin squashed their issues and reportedly are going to come back together for a Martin reboot.

Freddie Prinze, Jr. had such a horrible experience on the set of 24, that he credits it for the reason he quit acting.

"I did 24; it was terrible. I hated every moment of it," he once told ABC News. "Kiefer was the most unprofessional dude in the world. That's not me talking trash; I'd say it to his face. I think everyone that's worked with him has said that. I just wanted to quit the business after that. So, I just sort of stopped."

He was replaced by Bernie Mac.
