When a couple decides to consciously uncouple and get a divorce, one can only hope things go smoothly, especially if kids are involved. Sadly, that doesn't appear to be the case for JWoww and Roger Mathews as the Jersey Shore star not only requested a temporary restraining order after filing for divorce late last year, but has also accused Roger of being physically abusive. With two small children caught in the middle, we were crossing our fingers things would be amicable, but it looks like that might not be the case. A new update has surfaced with Roger Mathews wanting primary physical custody of their kids and JWoww to pay "reasonable child support."

  • It seems Roger filed a counterclaim to Jenni "JWoww" Farley's divorce petition that includes a request for child support and alimony.

Entertainment Tonight obtained court documents that reportedly show Roger's response to JWoww's divorce filing he submitted on January 29. He requests joint (legal) custody of Meilani, 4, and Greyson, 2, but primary physical custody of his children with JWoww. In addition, Roger would like the reality star mom to pay "reasonable child support and educational related costs," as well as his attorney's fees and alimony.

JWoww and Roger, who met back in 2010 while she was filming Jersey Shore, have been married since 2015.

  • Around the time Roger made his requests in court, JWoww posted a statement about her estranged husband with accusations of abuse.

"I have spent the last few months trying to protect our children from public humiliation, because as parents, WE ARE SUPPOSED TO PROTECT THEM," the celeb mom wrote in her now-deleted Instagram post.

Her full statement on her website accused Roger of putting their children in harm's way.

"Is it the video you took of yourself while driving the children, placing them at risk because you cannot take the camera off of yourself even for a minute while operating a vehicle? Is it the pizza that you fed to our 2 year old son who is highly allergic to gluten and dairy, placing him in serious medical jeopardy? When I asked you about the food situation, you chose to berate me instead of acknowledging that Greyson’s health is of paramount concern."

    ... and being abusive.

"You have prevented me from closing doors to escape having you coming at me. You have belittled and disparaged me. You have threatened me. You have contacted my bosses to attempt to smear my name and hurt my public image. You have called authorities to falsely accuse me of harming our children hoping to get a leg up as leverage in a custody case, only resulting in our children having to be undressed and physically examined, being humiliated and investigated with naturally no substantiation of any abuse on my part. You claim to have suffered? Your actions are reprehensible. No real man would torture his family as you have. You are cruel and vicious. You are a 'man' who actually blames the victim."

  • Roger has since shared a message of his own, calling for peace for the sake of the children.

Before his Instagram post that calls for a truce, Roger spoke out about the state of his relationship with JWoww and accused her of spreading lies to look good in the media, and saying some pretty horrible things around their children.

"She gets so emotional and irrational in her anger this is the level she brings it too," he wrote in a now-deleted Instagram post about JWoww. "Saddest day of my life watching her tell my daughter 'she is sorry she had children with your daddy. ' The truth will come out. The truth will set you free. I will never stop fighting for my kids."

  • We don't know what's going on but how these two can get through this in a way that doesn't involve their kids.

Divorce can get very ugly as emotions are involved -- so we're crossing our fingers there will be no more craziness so these two can find a healthier way to co-parent their children.
