It's kind of weird to admit it, but celebrities -- and their very public relationships -- have taught us a ton about love. Of course, a handful of those invaluable lessons have been somewhere along the lines of "things don't always work out how we want them to," and that "divorce is rough for anyone" (and likely gets even more challenging for those who live life in the spotlight), but we're choosing to focus on the positive here. For instance, we've seen so many reality star couples make it through their ups and downs on screen, leaving us feeling inspired. Plus, we've got a long list of Hollywood pairs that tend to make our heart skip a beat every time we see them.
Obviously, one of those lovable pairs is John Krasinksi and Emily Blunt. We recently got a good look into just how well the two are able work together, after the two actually worked together, co-starring in the movie A Quiet Place, which John also wrote and directed. Each press interview that followed showed fans just how much John and Emily qualify as both BFFs and lovers. We found ourselves cracking up and smiling right along with them as they teased each other, or gave completely normal answers to the world’s most obvious questions. (For the record, they eat food on dates, just like everyone else -- no need to ask them about 8,000 times.)

Still, while we know the actor and actress are merely humans trying to get through this thing called life together, the hopeless romantics in us can't help but obsess over their marriage. We put together a list of 20 reasons why Emily and John are the most adorable couple in Hollywood.

They're such an awesome pair together and the true meaning of #goals.
  • John Was a Fan of Emily's Before They Dated

While Emily admittedly hadn't seen the American version of The Office, John was really -- like really -- into The Devil Wears Prada, in which Emily played Miranda Priestly's assistant, Emily Charlton. On The Graham Norton Show, the actor joked that he was "full stalker status" when it came to his now-wife, and that "give or take," he's seen the film 72 times.

  • It Was Kind of Love at First Sight

"It was one of those things where I wasn't really looking for a relationship and I was thinking I'm going to take my time in LA," John told Ellen on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. "Then I met her and I was so nervous. I was like, 'Oh God, I think I'm going to fall in love with her.' As I shook her hand I went, 'I like you.'"

Emily's feelings were the same. "[My friend and I] were talking and discussing how much I was enjoying being single," she told People, recalling the night they were introduced. "And then she goes, 'Oh my God! There's my friend John.' And that was it."

  • Their First Date Was Dreamy

While they can't remember who asked who out on that first date, they told The Hollywood Reporter in 2018 that it did involve some pizza and time at his West Hollywood apartment. Sounds super chill to us!

  • And They Both Cried When John Proposed

While at the Emmy Awards in 2009, John spoke to Access Hollywood about popping the question to Emily, which included him getting on one knee.

"She did cry after I cried and we cried and then everyone around us was crying," John revealed. "Then, I think people weren't really sure what was going on, but they were crying because we were crying. But it was great. At the end of the day she said yes which is great. It's a big part of this whole thing."

  • Um, How About That Wedding?!

    Sorry, this isn't it!

Instead, the two were married in 2010, in a very private ceremony at George Clooney's Lake Como estate in Italy. Emily is said to have worn a Marchesa gown, and the pair had some fun on a boat with their famous friends ahead of their big day.

    Sounds dreamy!

  • They Really Enjoy Being Married

When talking about her marriage to Manhattan magazine in 2012, Emily couldn't sum up the experience in a single quote. "All I can say is that it's an effing blast," she told the publication. "It's just great, and I'm so happy."

  • They're Proud Parents

Emily and John have two daughters, Emily and Hazel, who they can't help but gush about. Whether it's talking about their American accents or revealing how their kids found out their parents were actors (apparently Hazel walked in on a commercial for A Quiet Place and wasn't sure how to process it, but they do enjoy her Mary Poppins voice), they can't get enough of their little ones.

"It changes your world completely," Emily said about becoming a mom. "You become a different person because you look at your choices from a very different perspective."

  • They Know How to Collaborate

Speaking of A Quiet Place, they famously worked on the movie together, which John actually wrote with Emily in mind. When it came time to ask her to be in it, however, he told Jimmy Kimmel he was nervous, but she ended up bringing it up first after reading the script on a plane.

"She genuinely looked sick," he said. "I was reaching for a barf bag thinking she was gonna throw up, and instead she said, 'You can't let anyone do this movie.' It was like a romantic comedy, where she was like proposing to me. She was like, 'You have to let me play this part.' And I think I just screamed, 'Yes' on this flight."

  • They Make Each Other Laugh

Considering they're both funny and talented, this isn't all too surprising, but they genuinely seem to get a kick out of each other in every red carpet or press interview.

  • They're Both Kind of Sarcastic

And they love to tease each other during interviews -- just like how Emily joked about John wearing a baseball cap.

  • They Accept Each Other For Who They Are

When a role required John to get in Navy SEAL shape, John told Elle that it boosted his confidence -- but that Emily doesn't mind either way. "The truth is, she really is that person who would like me any way," he said. "But I don't think she’s going to kick the eight-pack abs out of bed."

  • PDA Doesn't Bother Them

How about when John rushed on stage to congratulate his wife for winning a Critics' Choice Award?! And how excited she was to see him?!

  • No Distance Is Too Far to Travel

Obviously their jobs require the couple to be on location, but John made a point of telling People "Family comes first no matter what, and that’s non-negotiable." He doesn't mind flying thousands of miles to see his kids and wife because "[it's] not a job or a duty ..."

"It's something I just can't wait to do," he added. "I can't wait to get back to them. We always make time to see each other."

  • They Make Sure to Make Time for Date Night

So how do these two keep their marriage fresh and fun, especially with two little ones? John told People that they simply make time for each other.

"It's really fun because I have an amazing wife who also will go out on dates on me," he said. "We do one date a week at least where it’s just us."

The two don't even do anything super special, either. "Just go to dinner and talk, it's really easy. We don't need much. We just go to dinner and talk and have no baby talk."

  • Speaking of Date Nights, They Rule the Red Carpet Together

These folks sure know how to dress to impress, especially when it comes to big events and award shows.

    [Insert 10 million fire emojis.]

  • They're Super Supportive

John and Emily can't help but brag about each other's career and talent -- or cheer each other on from the crowd -- and for the actress, having John as her cheerleader of sorts has been life-changing.

"When I feel the support that I have from him, I feel invincible," she told InStyle. "There’s someone behind you on your good days, and someone in front of you on your bad days."

  • They Compliment Each Other

After working with her husband on A Quiet Place, Emily had nothing but great things to say about having him as a director. And John couldn't help but praise Emily's acting skills as well.

"The air changes in the room when she starts doing what she does," he said to Vanity Fair. "It's so honest and so pure and so powerful. It's like a superpower that she can just unlock and do so specifically with not many attempts."

During filming, he even admitted that, for a moment, he forgot they were actually married. "I was just watching her performance and was lucky enough to be in the front row.”

  • John Actually Cried During 'Mary Poppins Returns'

"The first time I ever saw it, they gave you a tissue box in the screening room," he said on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, revealing what happened when he watched Mary Poppins Returns.

"I was like, 'Oh that's very nice. I don't have a cold.' And they started screening the movie and 25 minutes into it, I stood up and went to the back of the room. And Emily said, 'Do you not like it? I've never seen this happen.' I was pushing through all the bagels and muffins that were in the back looking for napkins. I was like, 'I need anything to stop this crying!' I was crying so much! I blew through the tissue box in 20 minutes. I had to go to the napkins, and then when I ran out of the napkins, it was all sweater."

    Our hearts are melting!

  • They're Great Role Models

If we had to list all of the great qualities these couple has -- nice, polite, funny, hard-working -- we'd be here all day!

John has even praised Emily for how she is able to juggle her busy career and motherhood. "I'm also biased, but I'm also so proud to know that my daughters are going to grow up knowing that their mom is an incredibly hardworking, wonderful woman," he gushed.

  • And Apparently, Their Relationship Just Keeps Getting Better

"It's really that we just got lucky,” John told People about their relationship in 2015. "It's one of those things, I'm having more fun now than the day I met her, and it's pretty wild."
