How's that old saying go? There's no rest for the weary? Well, it certainly seems to ring true as far as the Duchess of Sussex is concerned. Even though she's very pregnant, Meghan Markle visited The Royal Variety Charity’s residential nursing and care home, Brinsworth House, earlier today, to help spread some holiday cheer to the people living there.

  • Kensington Palace posted some sweet photos from Meghan's visit.

They captioned the series of shots with this:

  • Residents were no doubt thrilled to see the Duchess.

  • And get a load of that bump!

Although we don't know Meghan's exact due date, the palace did confirm that her little one will be arriving sometime in the spring, so it appears as though she's approaching her third trimester -- if she isn't there already.

  • She's all baby!

Poor Meghan has had to endure more than enough unnecessary criticism as of late, so it's refreshing to see her out carrying on her royal duties with a smile on her face, despite the negativity. From rumors of a feud with Kate Middleton, to causing staff to quit because she's being too difficult, to the incessant insults her family continues to throw her way, to people giving her a hard time for touching her baby bump (eye roll), it's a wonder that Meg hasn't totally flown off the handle.

Of course, we couldn't help but get a bit intrigued when Meghan's Instagram account briefly reactivated. I mean, who could blame her if she suddenly decided she's had enough, and wanted to air her grievances on social media? But alas, it turns out it was just some sort of technical issue. Bummer.

  • Good for her for being able to turn a blind eye to her haters, at least on the surface.

She should be allowed to enjoy the rest of her pregnancy, not to mention her first holiday season as Prince Harry's wife. Hmm ... wonder if Santa will bring any early Christmas gifts for her new little prince or princess-to-be? Fingers crossed we wind up hearing some details about what went down in the palace on Christmas morning. It's sure to be quite the celebration!
