People Are Legit Annoyed That Meghan Markle Keeps Cradling Her Baby Bump -- Um, What?
Wow. So much for getting into the spirit of the season as far as spreading joy and being kind to others goes. Get this one -- after her surprise appearance at the British Fashion Awards last night, poor Meghan Markle is being criticized for -- wait for it -- touching her baby bump too much. Uhh ... say what? You seriously can't make this stuff up, people.
Yep. It seems as though some people just can't come to terms with the fact that pregnant Meghan is acting, well, pregnant.
So while the majority of us are sitting here oohing and ahhing over just how stunning she looked, presenting the British Womenswear Designer of the Year award to Clare Waight Keller, the woman who designed her wedding dress, there are actually some pathetic individuals who think it's totally unacceptable for Meghan to lay a hand on her own belly.
And they aren't holding back from voicing their harsh opinions on Twitter.
Um, pregnant women do that?! Hello?!
Then there's this gem ...
Snatch it? Seriously?
And of course, someone had to bring up her past career as an actress.
Plenty of expectant women cradle their bumps in this fashion. Just sayin' ...
Huh ... blaming the palace?
This user, while not downright mean like the others, was clearly poking fun at Meg's stance as well.
Thankfully, Meghan has people coming to her defense.
Exactly!
Being that she's a former Hollywood star who married into the royal family, we probably should've expected some level of criticism to come her way.
But honestly, almost from the moment she and Prince Harry announced their plans to marry, Meghan has had to deal with more than her fair share of speculation about her true character. From hateful attacks from racist trolls to constant criticism from her own father and half-sister to claims that she's "difficult" and demanding -- thus causing royal staff to step down from their posts -- to rumors about her feuding with sister-in-law Kate Middleton and driving a wedge between Harry and Prince William, Meghan just can't seem to catch a break.
So for the love of all things royal, can we please let this woman enjoy her pregnancy in any way she sees fit?
Go right ahead and cradle that bump all you want, Meghan. Better yet, keep on making a point to do it every time there's a camera around. If nothing else, at least it will give people who have nothing better to do than to give you a hard time about it something else to engage in during their seemingly boring, miserable lives.
