In case you missed it, a judge ordered Britney Spears to pay Kevin Federline more money ("thousands more") than the $20,000 he's receiving in monthly child support for their two sons. And although this is definitely a victory for the former-background-dancer-turned-DJ, let's just say a certain pop princess isn't jumping for joy. Reports are surfacing that Britney Spears and her camp aren't too happy about the latest child support ruling that has "insiders" on her side sounding off.

  • It's been many months since Kevin Federline made it known he wanted more child support from Britney.

Back in March, outlets started reporting Kevin was lawyering up to get more money from his famous ex for their two sons, Sean, 12, and Jayden, 11, given Britney Spears's net worth has seen a $174 million surge in coinage (successful world tours and a Vegas residency will do that) since their 2008 arrangement.

  • He "rejected" her camp's offer at one point with his pursuit of getting more than $20,000 continuing on.

"Jamie [Britney's father] and Britney Spears sent a response to Kevin's request for an increase to his child support payments, to his lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan," an unnamed source once revealed about Kevin rejecting Britney's child support offer. "Kevin has flatly rejected it .... Meeting with Jamie Spears, along with his lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, Kevin laid out the reasons why he was requesting the increase for child support payments. Kevin is tremendously disappointed that the offer was rejected, but is prepared to proceed."

  • Welp, it appears a judge sided with Britney's ex as she now has to pay "thousands more a month in child support."

Although it remains unknown (at least not public knowledge) whether Kevin will now receive the $60,000 he wanted, an insider recently told E! News that "Kevin is getting more money monthly than what he had originally asked for before he ever filed his RFO" -- so who knows how much Britney now has to shell out to her ex? The new adjustment comes a month after a judge made her pay Kevin $110,000 for legal costs and fees.

  • And Britney Spears's team reportedly isn't too happy about it.

"They are not happy and think the settlement is ludicrous ... But they wanted to make an agreement so that they could move on" a source explained to E! News. "[Britney] was tired of fighting about it and is ready to get on with her life and put this behind her."

As for Kevin Federline and his camp, they couldn't be happier. "I am happy that they came around to resolving this matter," Kaplan, the dad of six's attorney, also told the publication. "I am sure that they decided the money would be better extended on child support than on attorney's fees, which would've achieved the same result for Kevin but only after months and hundreds of thousands of dollars on litigation. They made a wise decision."

In addition to his two children with Brit, Kevin also has 15- and 13-year-old sons with an ex, and 6- and 3-year-old boys with his current wife, Victoria Prince.
  • We truly hope things work themselves out for the sake of the children involved.

    Because that's who really matters.
