Ever since folks caught wind of Abby Lee Miller's cancer battle, there's been an outpouring of love and support for the controversial Dance Moms star. She continues to share updates about her journey that give an inside look at the new normal she faces since doctors diagnosed her with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.     Although Abby has been away from her home for more than a year, it's not because she was in the hospital. Shortly before her cancer diagnosis, Abby was released from a federal correctional facility -- transitioning to a halfway house -- after serving an eight-month sentence for bankruptcy fraud.

    Doctors diagnosed Abby with Burkitt lymphoma, a rare form of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma in April after undergoing an emergency surgery. "People who have been diagnosed with this have a good prognosis," Dr. Hooman Melamed, Abby's orthopedic spine surgeon, revealed exclusively to Entertainment Tonight about her cancer diagnosis. "She will need another surgery in her spine but she has a lot more movement in her arms, legs and toes."
