Someone Actually Created a GoFundMe Account to Make Kylie Jenner a Billionaire

Kylie Jenner

This week, Kylie Jenner's Forbes cover has been raising all kinds of eyebrows, but this reaction to her article is a little ... much. A fan created a GoFundMe account for Kylie to make her a billionaire, and it's attempting to raise that last $100,000 she needs to make it happen. Yes, seriously.

  • All week long, the Internet has been buzzing about this cover.

People have been criticizing Kylie for being called a self-made millionaire by Forbes, but now, the backlash is being taken to the next level. Comedian Josh Ostrovsky has created a fundraiser to help Kylie become an actual billionaire because she's so close.

  • The GoFundMe has, so far, only raised $320 of its $100,000 goal, which is ... not surprising.

After all, Kylie is not exactly hurting for money, and this is clearly a joke. It's obviously impressive that she has made so much money despite the fact that she's still so young -- although some think that Kylie used cultural appropriation to make her fortune, capitalizing off of things that have always been a part of black culture. But we'd say she's doing okay, so this fundraiser definitely isn't necessary.

  • So far, Kylie has yet to respond to the GoFundMe, and we doubt that she will.

In fact, we feel kinda bad that her moment has been ruined -- that Forbes story was a huge deal, and even if she did have help from her wealthy, connected family, she has still accomplished something huge with her Kylie Cosmetics company.

We do have to admit that the GoFundMe is pretty funny, though, and we really hope that the people behind it have a plan to donate that money somewhere worthy.

  • Guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens next.

In the meantime, we think Kylie will be able to live without that $100,000. And now that she's launching her summer collection? Well, that billionaire status might not be too far off, no GoFundMe necessary.
