Ever since Meghan Markle and Prince Harry got married in May, we've been carefully watching how the new duchess fits in with the royal family. She's passed all tests with flying colors, and now it looks likes she's got a new in with her father-in-law. Prince Charles has reportedly given Meghan a strong nickname, proving that we aren't the only ones who recognize and admire her fierce personality.

  • The Prince of Wales calls Meghan "Tungsten," which is a type of metal. It's not the most endearing of nicknames, but there's a great reason behind it.

A source told The Daily Mail that the nickname is a representation of Meghan's "strong and unbending" character. The source continued, "Prince Charles admires Meghan for her strength and the backbone she gives Harry, who needs a tungsten-type figure in his life as he can be a bit of a softy. It's become a term of endearment."

Sure, it's a little weird and certainly different, but we couldn't agree more. In order to succeed at being a royal, you need to have a tough and resilient nature. Prince Charles's nickname is spot on.

  • There's no denying that there have only been positive changes in Prince Harry's life since Meghan came along.

Meghan reportedly encouraged Harry to quite smoking, and we sure are glad she did. We want this couple to live a long and healthy life together.

And we are also happy that Prince Charles is recognizing the good in Meghan.

  • The two do have a special bond since Prince Charles was the one to walk Meghan down the aisle at her wedding.

Since Meghan's father was unable to attend the big even, the Prince of Wales stepped to give away his daughter-in-law.

Charles doesn't have any daughters himself, so we like to think he looks at Meghan as one of his own now.

  • The royal family sure does seem like the toughest crowd to get in with, but Meghan looks to be doing just fine.

The future King of England gave her a unique nickname, so we're pretty certain she's in.

    Good job, Tungsten.
