Despite the fact that she had a baby a little over a month ago, we've seen quite a bit of Kate Middleton lately. Not only did we see her minding Princess Charlotte at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding, we caught a glimpse of her waving to fans from the Buckingham Palace balcony at Trooping the Color. But the Queen's recent birthday celebration may be the last we're going to see the Duchess for a while, as it's being reported that Kate is taking a break until October

  • According to royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams, Kate will be enjoying a maternity leave for the next few months.

Fitzwilliams told the Express: "Kate will be resuming royal duties after taking extended maternity leave as expected after Louis’s birth, probably in the autumn."

  • And apparently, Harry and Meghan's  wedding didn't count as "work," as it was a family function.

"The wedding doesn’t count because it was a family affair but other than that, she will pick and choose her engagements," Fitzwilliams said. "If she wanted, Kate could disappear into the background until October!"

  • Apparently, it's not uncommon for new moms in the royal family to take up to six months off for maternity leave.

If only the rest of the working world was so lucky!

  • The next time we'll likely see Kate -- "officially" -- is at Prince Louis's christening, which is reportedly taking place in July.

For now, she's enjoying her kids and indulging in the downtime that every new mom deserves. Happy maternity leave, Kate! We'll miss you!
