If Kate Middleton thinks she can wear a new piece of jewelry without it going noticed, she's sorely mistaken. On Saturday at the royal wedding, the Duchess wore a gorgeous ring and immediately people assumed the rock was a push present from Prince William. The ring, which is amber-hued (and massive!), is a citrine stone said to represent new life, so it would make sense. But those who know Kate -- or, more apropos, Kate's closet -- aren't buying it.

  • Here you can see the ring on Kate's right hand as she holds onto Princess Charlotte.

Needless to say, it's large and would make for one hell of a push present.

  • But! The Facebook page for 'What Kate Wore' noticed that the ring is actually an oldie but goodie.

In fact, Kate's ring is really old.

  • Kate was first spotted out with the ring in 2008 during a celebration for her 26th birthday.

Three years before she and William even tied the knot!

It's definitely the one she wore to Harry and Meghan's wedding. Clearly, the woman has good taste.

  • Here's Kate wearing the ring again in 2008 to the wedding of Lady Rose Windsor and George Gilman.

Also, shout out to Kate's auburn-y highlights!

  • Perhaps Prince William did get Kate Middleton a push present after she gave birth to Prince Louis.

But sorry, pseudo-detectives, the ring isn't it.

  • You've been had.
