If you thought Kate Gosselin was engaged, honey, you're in for a ride. Not only is this celeb single mom very much unattached, but it now appears we'll get to watch her love life play out in front of cameras. That's right, Kate Gosselin has a new reality show that will focus on her dating life, and we can't even imagine what's in store.

  • "Kate Plus Date" will premiere on TLC this fall and document the mom of eight's road to finding Mr. Right.

"I'm nervous, I'm excited, and I'm forcing myself to do this," Kate Gosselin told People about her upcoming dating series. "If I'm going to date someone, I can't just go out on a date -- it's creepy to me to think of just going out somewhere with some stranger, and so I actually feel like doing it like this is the best and safest way for me to go on a date -- a camera crew will be there! I'll be safe! And the person will have been vetted by a matchmaker."

  • It's been eight years since Kate and Jon Gosselin divorced, which will make this show quite entertaining to say the least.

"I do want someone with a set career, who is confident," the Gosselin mom revealed to People. "A grown-up with their own life, their own agenda, who knows who they are. If someone travels for work, that would be great, because I'm used to being on my own and being self-sufficient."

One can only imagine what Jon Gosselin thinks about this whole thing.

  • And people have questions ... lots of questions and comments that aren't exactly the most supportive.

Let's just say the reaction to Kate's new reality show hasn't exactly been positive.

  • A number of people feel sorry for the guy(s) who plan to court the famous celeb mom.

Yup, this is probably going to be another Kate Gosselin controversy.

  • Others wish Kate "would go away" and stop trying to "exploit" her family for the sake of 15 minutes of fame.

Kate Plus Date will touch on the mom's 17-year-old twins going off to college. "As we're talking about Mady and Cara going off to college which is becoming more and more of a reality, it's gonna happen, it almost became like a worry for them [Kate's lack of a dating life], too, like 'Mommy, you're gonna be all alone soon,'" Kate told People. "But it was very apparent, now that they're older and talking about dating and how they're all gonna get married someday … it became apparent: They want someone for me. They want me to have somebody in my life."
