In the wake of the Jenna Dewan–Channing Tatum split, which the couple announced Monday (April 2) in a heartfelt statement, the whole Internet has declared that love is dead. Last year already robbed us of Chris Pratt and Anna Faris!

So far, the parents to 4-year-old daughter Everly only expressed their intention to separate, but everyone in and outside of Hollywood knows that a Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan divorce could translate to a bit of a showdown when it comes to finances. After all, the two are both successful entertainers.

  • Though Channing Tatum started out as a roofer and then a stripper under the name of Chan Crawford, he's a bona fide movie star these days.

In fact, CelebrityNetWorth.com estimates Channing's net worth at $50 million.

  • The now-37-year-old's breakout role came in 2006 when he was cast in "She's the Man" opposite Amanda Bynes. "Step Up" and other hits followed.

And by 2008, he was able to purchase a home in the Hollywood Hills for $2,590,000, according to The Richest. (The site also estimates his overall net worth a bit higher than CelebrityNetWorth.com at a big ol' $90 million.)

  • But it sounds like what Channing brought in from his other roles was nothing compared to what he made from "Magic Mike."

The 2011 flick and its 2015 sequel, Magic Mike XXL, brought in some serious cash. According to CelebrityNetWorth.com, Channing and fellow producer Steven Soderbergh financed the first film's $7 million budget themselves and paid Warner Brothers a flat fee to distribute the movie. The movie was a hit, of course, raking in millions from the box office, streaming, and DVD sales. Ultimately, both Channing and Soderbergh brought home $60 million each for the first installment and $30 million for the second. Damn!

  • Perhaps as a result of his "Magic Mike" success, or simply because Hollywood adores him, Channing has a track record of sweet paydays.

In fact, the actor was ranked third on Forbes' list of most overpaid Hollywood actors in 2017. The rationale: His flicks actually only made $7.60 for every $1 he got paid.

  • At the same time, multihyphenate Jenna Dewan has been bringing home solid earnings.

The 37-year-old dancer-turned-actress started out her career dancing for a plethora of huge stars like 'N Sync, Pink, Missy Elliott, and Janet Jackson. Her first major foray into acting was of course Step Up, where she met Channing. While Jenna's payday on the flick is unreported, we know it was a smash hit, bringing in $110,989,157 in worldwide box office earnings, according to The-Numbers.com.

  • Since then, Jenna's gone on to slay various projects across film and TV, including "World of Dance."

She's starred in Supergirl, American Horror Story, and Witches of East End. And last year, Jenna became the host and mentor of NBC's dance competition show World of Dance

  • It's no wonder that, all in all, CelebrityNetWorth.com estimates Jenna's net worth at $20 million.

And a little more insight into Jenna's finances: She and Channing purchased a Cape Cod–style home in Beverly Hills for $6 million back in 2015, according to the Los Angeles Times. Around that same time, they sold their Laurel Canyon abode for $2.6 million, notes Trulia.com.

  • Ultimately, the former lovebirds both have quite a bit to bring to the table.

Should Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan divorce, there's no doubt they'll need to hash out the details related to both of their significant assets. That said, California is a "community property state," meaning that law presumes all property acquired during a couple's marriage is owned equally by both spouses. More specifically, though, when it comes to spousal support, the two -- or perhaps, in this case, Channing, if he's the heftier earner -- may be off the hook: If you're married for less than 10 years in the Golden State, spousal support will be awarded for half the length of the marriage, notes LegalZoom.com.

No matter how it all plays out, these two seem committed to keeping their uncoupling loving and kind. Fingers crossed that remains the case even as they navigate these uncharted waters.
