  • Joy looked beyond exhausted in the video as she thanked fans for their support.

“Love you guys. Thank you for your prayers," she told the camera as she was wheeled off on a hospital gurney. Could she possibly be any sweeter? We wouldn't blame her a bit if she was screaming and cussing in pain after being in labor for so long, but instead she was thanking people for their prayers. She's pretty awesome, is all we're saying.

  • Joy and Austin have seemed to settle into life with a newborn really well so far.

Despite some recent -- and unwarranted -- criticism over Austin's baby-holding skills, the new parents seem to be doing just fine. Joy mentioned in a recent video with baby Gideon that he has his nights and days mixed up, but what mom or dad hasn't dealt with that?

  • We're just glad this little guy got here safely -- no matter how it happened.

We'll probably find out when the episode airs if Joy really did have to have a C-section, but if she did, she's at least in good company. Her sister Jill (Duggar) Dillard had emergency C-sections with each of her sons, so she probably has some good recovery advice for Joy. Or at least war stories to swap.

Congrats again to the new mama, and we have to say -- we're totally impressed with how she handled Gideon's scary birth.
