Playing it coy, eh? Since Meghan Markle and Prince Harry announced their engagement, people have been wondering about one thing and one thing only: Who is designing Meghan Markle's wedding dress? As with all royal brides, there's been a lot of speculation about who will be doing the honors, but a close designer friend of Meghan's just dropped a major hint about what she'll be wearing when she walks down the aisle.

  • Meghan's close designer friend Roland Mouret recently made a few head-scratching comments, and from where we're standing, it seems like he may be designing the actress's dress.

"Mmmmm, I don't want to say. No comment. It's ... there is no comment on that. She's a friend. And that's ... I can't say," he told Women's Wear Daily.

  • Hmmm ...

  • Earlier on this month, Roland dropped another hint to that has people believing he's the lucky designer who landed this year's most coveted job.

"Meghan knows really well what she likes and the main thing with Meghan is to listen to her and work in collaboration with her," he told the New York Post. Then, when pressed for more info, he simply said: "I've already said too much."

  • Whoever winds up designing Meghan's dress, people have their money on her going with a simple, clean design.

Not only has Meghan named Carolyn Bessette Kennedy's dress as her all-time favorite celebrity wedding dress, but British bridal designer Suzanne Neville recently revealed to People that it's doubtful that Meghan will go with a princess-style dress. "I think Meghan will chose an effortlessly chic gown with clean lines and minimal detail," she said. "I think the dress will be elegant and traditional, but with a modern twist."

  • No matter what -- or who -- Meghan wears on her big day, she's going to look absolutely stunning.

But not gonna lie: That's not going to stop us from speculating about the designer, and of course, the design.
