To most, Prince William and Kate Middleton are known as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, but in Scotland and Ireland, William and Kate have different titles. In addition to the titles they were given by Queen Elizabeth on their wedding day in 2011, William and Kate received brand new, shiny titles in Ireland and Scotland, as well. Because evidently, one can never have too many titles.

  • In Scotland, Kate and William have been known as the Earl and Countess of Strathearn in Scotland since their wedding day.

  • And over in Ireland, the duke and duchess are referred to as Baron and Lady Carrickfergus.

  • Prince Charles and Camilla have different titles in Ireland, as well. The two go by the Duke and Duchess of Rothesay.

  • As far as Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's Irish and Scottish titles go, it's still anyone's guess. But many people think they'll become the new Duke and Duchess of Sussex once they marry.

A brand new fancy-pants title? That beats an envelope of cash any day.
