By all accounts, Meghan Markle has fit right into the royal family ever since she and Prince Harry got serious. Now that they're engaged though, it seems as though there may be a plethora of royal rules for her to follow -- and they'll be mandatory once she and Harry tie the knot in May.

  • The American actress has reportedly already hit it off with Queen Elizabeth. Not only have they already appeared in public together, but the queen's beloved corgis apparently adore her.

Hopefully this will give her a leg up if she ever accidentally breaks royal protocol. During their first interview as an engaged couple, Harry revealed that not only had his intended already met his grandmother, she'd also endeared herself to the furbabies.

"I've spent the last 33 years being barked at -- this one walks in, absolutely nothing," Harry commented about Meg meeting the queen's corgis. Meghan said that the dogs were "just laying on [her] feet during tea. It was very sweet."

  • Corgi love or not, it appears as though Queen Elizabeth has quite the set of rules for her new granddaughter-in-law to follow.

According to Star magazine, even the former Suits actress was taken aback by some of the rules she must now follow. The list apparently came from the queen herself, and includes things like "don't speak unless spoken to," and "always let Harry respond first." Another one is to always "let him walk in front of you ... No one likes a henpecked prince!"

  • Meghan apparently "understands," and has even begun presenting herself as a representative of the crown already.

An insider told the mag, "Meghan understands she must have a different public persona now, [but] she was shocked at some of the restrictions ... They just seem too antiquated and ridiculous."

That being said, Meghan recently deleted all of her social media accounts, including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. While the royals do keep up with modern technology through official accounts, none of them personally use social media.

  • Somehow, we have a feeling she's going to be just fine.

After all, Meghan was a humanitarian and advocate for basic rights long before she met Prince Harry. It's one of the reasons they hit it off, after all. There may be some new rules she has to follow, but she's so good for him that we're sure an occasional trespass will be excused.
