Jennifer Garner Opens Up About Ben Affleck & Why She Wouldn't 'Choose to Be Single'

Though it's been seven months since news broke Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck filed for divorce, the once Hollywood couple have been separated for years. And with all eyes on Ben and his girlfriend Lindsay Shookus, some wonder when the Alias alum is going to get back in the saddle. Welp, don't hold your breath as Jennifer Garner opens up about her dating life and Ben Affleck in a new interview that's gaining attention.

  • As it turns out, Jen hasn't dated since splitting from Ben two years ago and, quite frankly, isn't interested in doing so.

    "I haven't been on a date and I am not interested in dating," the celeb mom of three tells news.com.au in an interview.  "People want to set me up and I am just like, 'No thank you!'"

    Jennifer and Ben Affleck tied the knot in 2005 before announcing their split in 2015 with official divorce papers to follow two years later. Together, they have daughters Violet, 11, and Seraphina, 8, and son Sam, 5.

  • But, the celeb mom says she wouldn't "choose to be single."

    "I would not have chosen this life for myself or for my kids," Garner also mentions during her interview. "I would not choose to be single or be in this position. It's something that we are working through."

  • And given Affleck reportedly cheated on her with both their kids' nanny and his current girlfriend, we totally get it.

    In addition to Ben reportedly cheating on Jen with the nanny, word is Garner allegedly confronted Ben's "new" girlfriend years ago when "Bennifer part two" were still a thing -- asking the Saturday Night Live producer to stop seeing her husband. 

    "Lindsay said she'd only stop if Ben asked her to," Us Weekly reported.

  • Jennifer will start dating again in her own time and continues to show us how to take the high road and do coparenting right.

    "We get along really well and it's not an issue," the 45-year-old actress explains to news.com.au about her and Ben's ability to raise their children together post-split. "We are friends; we can manage it."
