If you've been holding your breath for the heavens to bless us with a Sex and the City 3 movie, you should stop. We aren't getting a trilogy, but we do have real-life tea to sip on, which is proving to be crazier than another Carrie-Big escapade. Kim Cattrall has taken a dig at Sarah Jessica Parker after being blamed for the film's scrapping. And child, when we say this thing is getting messy, just know we aren't playing games.

  • First, a refresher: SJP made headlines not too long ago when she officially confirmed "Sex and the City 3" will *not* happen.

"It's not halted, it's over," Parker told Extra during a red carpet interview.

"I'm disappointed. We had this beautiful, funny, heartbreaking, joyful, very relatable script and story. It's not just disappointing that we don't get to tell the story and have that experience, but more so for that audience that has been so vocal in wanting another movie."

  • Even Willie Garson, Carrie's bestie (Stanford Blatch) on the show, had to chime in about his disappointment.

  • And with rumors circulating that the movie couldn't be made due to Kim's "outrageous demands," let's just say that didn't sit well with her -- at all.

The 61-year-old actress also retweeted supportive comments in response to the Daily Mail article that claimed she was being a diva.

  • Now, Kim has spoken out about the controversy -- and she says Sarah Jessica Parker "could have been nicer" about the whole thing.

"... Now at this very moment it's quite extraordinary to get any kind of negative press about something that I've been saying for almost a year of 'no' that I'm demanding or a diva," Cattrall explained to Piers Morgan on his show Life Stories, according to E!.

"And this is really where I take to task the people from Sex and the City and specifically Sarah Jessica Parker in that I think she could have been nicer. I really think she could have been nicer. I don't know what her issue is, I never have."

  • Which is a little shocking, considering SJP didn't specifically blame Cattrall at all for the movie's cancellation.

  • In Kim's defense, she *did* express her lack of interest in "Sex and the City 3" back in 2014, so it's nothing new.

"For me, I feel the most important thing is do we have something left to say," the actress mentioned during an interview with Entertainment Tonight.

    She continued:

"Because I think at my age -- which I am grateful for, which I still am learning and embracing -- [what's important is] time. How do I want to spend the time? Do I want to spend it doing something that I've explored to the fullest?

.... For me, yes, financially it would be fantastic -- for all of us. But I'm really about content. Where is it going to take me."

  • Even Chris Noth -- who played Carrie's longtime love, Mr. Big -- said he's not interested in doing another film ... so why are we so hung up on Kim?

"I feel like we told that story," the 62-year-old actor told Us Weekly this summer. "I don't think there's anything left for me to say about that. I want to tell other stories."

  • Hopefully Sarah and Kim can patch things over, because thinking about Carrie and Samantha beefing IRL is just too much to bear.

A threequel just ain't worth this real-life drama.
