Just because you love someone doesn't mean your relationship will be perfect -- or a constant walk in the park, for that matter. Brian Austin Green confesses his marriage to Megan Fox is hard at times, which keeps it all the way real in more ways than one.

According to Us Weekly, the 44-year-old Beverly Hills, 90210 alum got candid about his life with his longtime love, raising their three kids (Brian and Megan have sons Noah, 4, Bodhi, 3, and Journey, 1), and all of their ups and downs during a recent episode of his ... with Brian Austin Green podcast.

"Marriage is hard. It's work, I think for anyone," Green admits while discussing his seven-year union to Fox. He continues:

"I think when you get to the point like we have, where you have kids and you've been married for a while and we've been together for a long time, it's -- you just take it day by day. You're in it and then if you're not, then you look back and you go, 'That was a great 13 years.'

We have three amazing kids. We've had and have a great relationship and you know we're just taking it day by day."

We can dig it.

As for the "big D" (we're talking about divorce ... get your head out of the gutter), Brian -- who almost uncoupled from Megan when she filed for divorce in 2015 before the two reconciled -- doesn't shy away from the subject and has a pretty good outlook should it ever become a reality.

"I have no problem with something not working, I really hold no expectations," the actor states during his podcast. "I try to live day by day ... Some people look at divorce or things not working as like a disappointment and it's not. The fact that it worked at all is a positive."

Can't get mad at that.

Hopefully, Brian and Meg will get their happily ever after. But should it not be in the cards for them, at least there's hope things will be amicable to keep calm and carry on.
