Kate Middleton's Gorgeous Blue Outfit Included a Subtle Nod to Princess Diana
We've always known Kate Middleton to pay tribute to her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana, through fashion, and this time, it's no different. The Duchess of Sussex wore Diana's sapphire earrings during the launch of the National Emergencies Trust on Thursday, and as always, they looked absolutely beautiful on her.
We know Diana would be proud!
Here are the famous earrings:
As Page Six pointed out, Kate gave them a bit of a makeover before she wore them -- just as a single drop instead of a double drop.
The earrings were given to Kate by Prince William in 2011, the year they got married, so it's good to see that Kate's getting use out of them, especially since they perfectly match her engagement ring (which also belonged to Diana).
The earrings are sopretty on Kate.
Then again, we've never met an accessory that we didn't like on the duchess, so there's also that.
We love that Kate's keeping Diana's memory alive by wearing her jewelry. We can't imagine what it was like for Harry and William to lose their mom at such a young age, and Kate never got to meet her ... but fortunately, she seems happy to carry on Diana's legacy.
