Kim Kardahian may have her own glam squad and live a very privileged life, but when it comes down to it, she's still just a mom. Which means that the greatest gifts she's ever gotten have been from her kids, of course. She recently opened up about the sweet gift North gave her last year that meant more to her than even the most expensive jewelry she owns.

It turns out that Kim had an awful premonition that something bad was going to happen on the Paris trip last fall, when she was tied up and held at gunpoint while being robbed. Her anxiety over it was apparently so bad that she even saw a therapist about it.

More from CafeMom:

North, who was 3 at the time, noticed that her mom was upset about going to Paris, so she gave her a gift to protect her. Kim shared with Allure magazine, "She gave me a little plastic treasure box, and she put her little jewels in it -- like fake little plastic jewels -- and she was like, 'Mommy, this will keep you safe when you go to Paris.'"

She continued, "To have something really sweet like that is more important to me than all the jewelry." Kim also said that she still takes it everywhere with her.

It turns out that they're being really conscientious about how they're raising Nori and Saint regarding how much stuff they have. "We don't do gifts," Kim explained. "[Kanye and I] talk about it all the time, about not getting too much and trying to be as grounded and well-rounded as possible. I don't like presents anymore. We just did absolutely nothing [for our anniversary]. We spent two days in Santa Barbara, and we slept. You know what? I think we went to IHOP. That's what we did."

After all, if it's good for the goose, it's good for the gander, right? We kind of love that she holds herself to the same gift-less standard that she does for her kids. At the end of the day she's just a mom, trying to do the best she can for her family.
