Meghan Markle's 'Vanity Fair' Cover Has a Sweet Connection to Princess Diana

There's no denying the fact that Meghan Markle looks absolutely stunning on the new Vanity Fair cover. And the real reason the Suits actress looks so breathtaking is because she hasn't been airbrushed and her freckles haven't completely been covered up with makeup -- and that's all thanks to Mary Greenwell. Greenwell, ironically, is the same makeup artist who did Diana's makeup for her Vanity Fair shoot in 1997 with Mario Testino, as well as her 1991 Vogue cover. What are the chances?

Greenwell proudly posted the cover to her Instagram page, as well as a few shots from inside the mag. (Definitely worth a swipe.) To say the humanitarian looks incredible is a serious understatement.

Flawless. According to the mag, Meghan told Vanity Fair photographer Peter Lindbergh that she was "so excited" to work with him, because she knew her freckles would remain visible.

Also, it's pretty amazing that Meghan's first Vanity Fair cover involved working with one of Princess Diana's makeup artists. What a cool connection.

Perhaps more interesting than the Greenwell connection, though, is the fact that, for the first time ever, Meghan publicly spoke about her relationship with Prince Harry.

"I'm sure there will be a time when we will have to come forward and present ourselves and have stories to tell, but I hope what people will understand is that this is our time," Meghan revealed. "This is for us. It's part of what makes it so special, that it's just ours. But we're happy. Personally, I love a great love story."

We do, too, Meghan. We do, too. But seriously ... when are you guys going to give us more details?
