Despite being a future queen, Kate Middleton has no qualms about repeating outfits. Time and time again, we've seen the duchess recycle dresses, coats, and tops to various events. But apparently there's a very specific reason Kate repeats her outfits -- and it's not just because she's thrifty.

The royal family is no stranger to criticism, particularly when it comes to how (and how much) they spend their money. Fashion experts think Kate often repeats key wardrobe pieces to seem more relatable to the public.

Fashion writer Simon Glazing told Mail Online, "There has been lots written about the duchess and Prince William's spending. It's likely to be the reason why she is thrifty with her wardrobe and often recycles dresses and coats. Even a princess has to dress on a budget."

Another interesting wardrobe fact about the duchess? Apparently, she uses her clutch bags as a sort of shield at times. Myka Meier, the founder of Beaumont Etiquette, told Good Housekeeping that Kate often holds her bag in front of her body with both hands when shaking hands might be awkward. Remember that if you ever cross paths with the duchess -- dead giveaway that she doesn't want to shake your hand.

As far as royalty goes, Kate Middleton does seem pretty relatable. And who knows? Maybe she does recycle her clothes simply for the sake of recycling her clothes. But it's doubtful that this info will make the public love her any less. Spendthrift or penny-pincher -- everyone hearts the duchess.
