Royal watchers know that Prince William and Prince Harry are not only huge fans of Star Wars, but they visited the set last year and got to test out lightsabers and hang out with Chewbacca. Now, however, thanks to Star Wars star John Boyega's appearance on BBC Radio 4's "Today" show, we're left thinking that the princes may have a cameo in the next Star Wars movie The Last Jedi.

Boyega, who plays Finn in the films, was asked about Will and Harry's visit on set and if they had cameos. With a laugh, his response was: "I think they took that scene out." And then he added, "I've had enough with those Prince William secrets, man. They came on set; they were there, man. Tom Hardy was there, too -- I said it. I'm sick of hiding this."

Since everyone who knows anything about the royals knows that they were there on set, we're left thinking that this is Boyega revealing something more. "They were there, man" MUST mean that they were there in full on stormtrooper gear because they do have cameos as stormtroopers!

Nothing is confirmed, of course. This is pure speculation. Cameos in major productions aren't rare though -- Daniel Craig had one in The Force Awakens and even Ed Sheeran had a bit on Game of Thrones. But having the royals on set is quite major. If William and Harry are in fact stormtroopers, it will forever change the weight of the legendary films not just for royal and loyal Star Wars fans, but for Prince George and Princess Charlotte. How cool is it that they would be able to say that their dad and uncle had bit parts?!

We may have to wait for the film's release this December to find out.
