Kim Kardashian is the reigning queen of makeup, so it sort of goes without saying that it's only a matter of time until her daughter North (and maybe son Saint) will get into cosmetics, as well. Of course, figuring out what age to let your child start experimenting with makeup is always a sticky subject for parents, but when asked, Kim seems pretty chill about when North will officially be allowed to wear makeup

It's no secret that North already has an affinity for beauty and style. Not only is she one of the best-dressed tots in the world, she's been known to do Aunt Khloe's makeup, and she even has turned her time-out into a spa where she can "chill" out.

During a recent YouTube makeup tutorial video with Desi Perkins, Kim admitted that she'll probably let North start wearing makeup when she's around 12. "Probably 12," Kim said. "That's when I started to get into it and then when I was like 14 my dad got me makeup lessons and they videotaped it and showed us how to put on liner and lashes. They were really just into actual contour and concealer, all kind of nude monochromatic looks, which is so my vibe and probably why I like the kind of makeup that I like."

Well, there you have it. Seems like an appropriate age for a makeup-lover's child to start wearing some herself.

And who knows? Maybe a few years after that, little North will have a cosmetics line of her own. Runs in the family, after all.
