Anyone who's been keeping up with Brad and Angie's split has likely been praying for a silver lining to surface sooner rather than later -- and thankfully, it looks like one has. Amid rumors of smear campaigns and potential custody fights, it seems Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have decided to put their divorce on pause (for now), giving us hope there's light at the end of the tunnel for this family.

A "source" tells Entertainment Tonight that Angie and Brad are putting their uncoupling on the back burner in order to focus on their six children: Maddox, 16; Pax, 13; Zahara, 12; Shiloh, 11; and twins Knox and Vivienne, 9.

"There's a pause in the [divorce] process because they both made children the priority, but nothing significant has changed in their relationship," the source tells ET. "... Both have demonstrated great civility recently for their kids."

This is an AH-MAY-ZING step in the right direction considering the FBI once investigated Brad Pitt amid child abuse allegations, stemming from a September 2016 incident between Pitt and son Maddox on a private plane. (The inquiry was eventually closed with no further course of action.) Brad revealed his problems with drinking in a summer GQ issue and his pursuit to make things right -- including give up alcohol -- for his family.

Needless to say, it's been quite the year for this former Hollywood mega couple, which makes news that they're putting their children first all the more incredible.

"We care for each other and care about our family, and we are both working towards the same goal," Jolie tells Vanity Fair during a recent interview.

As for Brangelina making a return, let's just say the ending to that story is still unwritten -- though we aren't holding our breath for a reboot.

Though a "friend" of Angelina Jolie tells Us Weekly the mom of six might consider hitting the reset button with Brad "if he showed he was committed to raising a family," the source who spoke to Entertainment Tonight insists this divorce pause isn't due to a rekindled romance.

"These things [divorce] always take a long time, and right now their main focus is on their family and the kids," the source spills to ET.

We truly wish this family nothing but the best.
