Now that's a royally good sibling. Apparently, after Kate Middleton gave birth to Prince George in 2013, Pippa Middleton gifted her sister with a seriously sentimental piece of jewelry. Keeping up with royal tradition, Pippa bought Kate a necklace similar to one Princess Diana received after she gave birth to Prince William in 1982. No doubt, every time she wears it, she's paying a subtle nod to Lady Di. So sweet.

According to the Mirror, after the birth of George, Pippa gifted her big sis with a Merci Maman necklace, just as Prince Charles gifted Diana with after she had William. The duchess's necklace features a gold-plated disc with the words George Alexander Louis engraved on it, alongside a smaller heart with a "W" and a charm in the shape of a little boy.

"Upon the birth of Prince William in 1982, Prince Charles gave Diana the gift of a gold pendant engraved their new son's name, which she always wore close to her heart," the retailer wrote in a blog post. "In 2013, Pippa Middleton continued this family tradition by giving her sister Kate, The Duchess of Cambridge, our Personalised Duchess Necklace to celebrate the birth of Prince George."

Such a pretty piece of jewelry. And so thoughtful of Pippa to keep up a tradition Prince Charles and Princess Diana started years ago.

From all accounts, Pippa seems like a pretty great sister and even better aunt. And it goes without saying that if and when she decides to have children of her own, her sister will repay the favor.

And if said favor includes a pretty gold necklace, well, so be it.
