Just when you thought Prince Harry couldn't get any more lovable, we hear this. According to a new report, Prince Harry was the owner of Princess Diana's engagement ring before Prince William gave it to Kate Middleton. In other words, Harry gave up Diana's ring for his older brother. Now that's a good sibling.

According to the Daily Star, both William and Harry were able to pick something from Diana's jewelry collection after she passed away in 1997. The duke evidently chose his mother's Cartier watch, and Harry chose the iconic sapphire and diamond engagement ring. It's been said, though, that the boys made a pact that whoever was ready to propose first got the ring. This, of course, was William when he popped the question to Kate in October of 2010 on an African safari.

There may be a quandary brewing, though. See, now Prince Harry is in a serious relationship with Suits actress Meghan Markle. In fact, the two are on an African safari together right now! Most people think an engagement is around the corner, and now Harry doesn't have his mother's famous ring.

Many sources are saying that Harry is having a ring made for Meghan with one of Princess Diana's old bracelets. Reports claim that Harry has been working with longtime royal jeweller Harry Collins to create a one-of-a-kind piece for Meghan, which will be worth around $170,000. Not too shabby of an alternative.

William and Harry have always shared a special bond, but it's always touching to hear stories like this that solidify their close relationship.

No doubt, whatever Harry's creating is going to be spectacular. And if it's made from a special piece of his mother's jewelry, it will be just as meaningful as Kate's ring.
