Jill Duggar Gets Raked Over the Coals for Derick Dillard's Feud With Jazz Jennings

Jill Duggar

It's tough being married sometimes ... especially when your significant other says dumb things in public and you get slammed for it. Such is the case with Jill Duggar this week, who just got raked over the coals for something her hubby said online.

Derick Dillard made the decision earlier this week to verbally attack a transgender teen girl, I Am Jazz star Jazz Jennings. He wrote on Twitter, "What an oxymoron... a 'reality' show which follows a non-reality. 'Transgender' is a myth. Gender is not fluid; it's ordained by God." He later added, "I want to be clear. I have nothing against him. I only have issue with the words and definitions being propagated here."

Ugh. Why even go there, dude? Anyway, poor Jill got pulled into the fray when Vanderpump Rules star Jax Taylor found an old tweet of hers from 2014 showing off her engagement ring. Jill wrote at the time, "So glad to be engaged to the most awesome guy in the world! I [heart] you, @derick4Him!"

The 38-year-old called Derick a "piece of sh*t," and a closeted homosexual. You know, because tolerance.

What Derick said was dumb, but we're pretty sure calling him nasty names and questioning his sexuality isn't going to get him to change his mind. And pulling Jill into it is just plain mean.

Jax was obviously upset by Derick's comments, but maybe he could've taken a page out of Jazz's book. She just commented that she wouldn't be cyber-bullied into silence -- no name-calling necessary.
