Time to chill the champagne? According to a report in the Daily Star, Prince Harry may propose to Meghan Markle ... today. August 4 marks the actress/humanitarian's 36th birthday and many sources believe that, in an effort to give her the ultimate birthday present, Harry could pop the question today.

The Suits star was seen walking through Waterloo Station in central London last week, obviously in town to see Harry. The sighting has fueled rumors that a royal proposal is imminent -- especially given that Meghan was spotted with her mother.

In July, a royal insider told Heat magazine, "I'm told there will be a formal proposal, and it could be as soon as next month." The source added that, should Harry propose this month, the couple's wedding could take place in "early spring" of next year.

Traditionally, royal couples "court" for two years before getting engaged, but, so say sources, Harry wants to break this rule in order for his grandfather, 96-year-old Prince Philip, to be at his wedding. A source told the Daily Star, "The romance might feel rushed, but Harry is certain Meghan is 'the one.'"

The engagement rumors have been swirling around Meghan and Harry for a while now, so hearing that a proposal could be around the corner isn't all that surprising. In fact, one report says that Harry is having a ring made at Collins, the queen's personal jeweller, while another says he's turning an old bracelet of Diana's into an engagement ring.

If you believe the ol' "where there's smoke, there's fire" theory, a royal engagement definitely could be under way. But today? That would be a little surprising. In a good way, of course.
