Marriage is hard work, no matter how much Hollywood tries to convince us we can ride into the sunset with the perfect person and live happily ever after. It's just not real, which is why we're applauding Miley Cyrus for sharing what she's learned about marriage from watching her parents -- and its actually pretty darn good advice.

The 24-year-old singer, who's engaged to actor-hottie Liam Hemsworth, opened up to Cosmopolitan about her life and all the things she's learned thus far -- including when it comes to saying "I do" and making it work.

"One thing I've learned about marriage from my parents: Nothing and no one stays the same," Cyrus tells Cosmo. "Grow, evolve, change with each other and celebrate your love's journey!"

Yup, that's good advice right there!

Billy Ray and Tish, Miley's parents, have seen their share of ups and downs since their 1993 nuptials -- filing for divorce in 2010 before reconciling, and filing for divorce once again in 2013 before ultimately deciding they can't live without each other.

Though some might decide to throw in the towel, Tish and Billy Ray remain dedicated to one another and have a bond that's empowering their daughter Miley (and other four children) to keep fighting for love, and evolve with time and changes.

Given Miley and Liam's relationship has had a few bumps in the road (the two originally got engaged in 2012 before calling it off and getting back together), the lessons Miley's parents have taught her through their marriage is something she can put into practice. It will hopefully enable the singer and actress to live out her happily ever after with a realistic lens.
