Wax museums are notorious gathering spots for celeb enthusiasts to take a selfie with their favorite stars. And if you happen to have Queen Bey on your short list, you're probably better off taking a photo next to one of her album covers. Folks are dragging Madame Tussauds for this alleged Beyonce wax figure that's inspired the Internet to get in formation and yell "Not today!"

  • People are sounding off on this supposed Beyonce figure after a Twitter user shared this photo you have to see to believe.

"Beyonce'[s] wax figure at @MadameTussauds is FIERCE!" Twitter user Joe seems to happily share on the Interweb.

One can only hope this wax figure is some Beyonce fanatic who went to the Halloween store before getting her photo taken.

  • Yes ... THAT is someone's *professional* interpretation of Beyonce ...

  • ... who was likely paid a currency to put his or her talents to use and physically represent the queen who's given us life and "Lemonade."

  • And the Internet is clearly not amused with this Lindsay Lohan look-alike.

  • Or a purposely tanned Britney Spears.

    Yup, we see that, too.

  • In fact, some people are still searching for the Beyonce that Madame Tussauds allegedly was trying to portray.

Will the real Queen Bey please stand up?

  • Others feel it was a whitewash, inspiring the hashtag #TussaudsSoWhite.

  • Sadly, this isn't the first time Beyonce's wax figure was depicted in anything but her likeness ...

  • Though, this Twitter user was quick to point out the Madame Tussauds in San Francisco did the diva justice.

  • As it turns out, this nightmare of a wax figure is a sad reality for all to see inside Madame Tussauds New York.

  • And, of course, the Big Apple location felt the need to defend this faux-Yonce.

A representative tells Spin in a statement:

"At Madame Tussauds, our talented team of sculptors take every effort to ensure we accurately colour match all of our wax figures to the celebrity being depicted. Lighting within the attraction combined with flash photography may distort and misrepresent the colour of our wax figures which is something our sculptors are unable to account for at the production stage."

  • Whoever made this sculptural sacrilege needs to step to the left, to the left.

Because this is just ... plain wrong.

  • *UPDATE*: Madame Tussauds New York reportedly removed the controversial wax figure amid criticism, but ultimately, just pulled a fast one on us ...

Yeah, that damn wax figure is back up.

"We love, respect and enjoy a working relationship with Beyonce," a Madame Tussauds representative tells SPIN. "We have adjusted the styling and lighting of her figure and she is on display at Madame Tussauds New York."

  • Miss us with that BS.
