Before we know it, Serena Williams and her fiancé, Alexis Ohanian, will be first-time parents! Ohanian recently opened up to CNBC's Squawk Box about the plans he's making to ensure he gets off on the right foot as a new dad. The Reddit cofounder will take a six-week paternity leave, a benefit that he sounds passionate about offering his employees as well.

"At Reddit, it's really important for us to support men and women when they are welcoming a new member to the family and so we have a pretty generous parental leave policy," Ohanian explained. "I'll be taking off for six weeks myself and trying to do the best job possible as a new dad, a first-time dad."

Awesome -- and so necessary! Especially because, as Ohanian notes, a company that offers fathers dedicated time to bond with their newborns actually sends a strong, crucial message to society.

"We want to break that stereotype that the men work and the women take care of kids," the 34-year-old dad-to-be noted. "We want to give that opportunity to everyone."

Yes to all of that! These are goals that, in 2017, we shouldn't have to worry about reaching, but gender inequality and stereotypes around parenthood unfortunately still exist. So, it never hurts for someone in the public eye, like Ohanian, to assert the value of paternity leave and a dad's integral role.

You also gotta love how much the tech entrepreneur was gushing about his tennis superstar fiancée Williams: "She's very good at a lot of things and well on her way to being an awesome mom too," he shared with CNBC.

Although their LO is due in the fall, Williams, 35, is reportedly already on her maternity leave. According to her rep, she had planned to sit out the remainder of the 2017 tennis season and return in 2018.
