It's no secret that the Duggars and conservatism go hand-in-hand. Seeing as they're notorious for dodging temptation while participating in certain activities and events -- in the name of tradition and family -- it's sometimes easy to forget how different the Duggars live. Call it a great way to protect their family or plain old weird, but the Duggars have certain rules -- bans even -- in place that just might make a person say "Come again?"

That's right, these rules seem really out there. But we have to remember that the Duggars are deeply religious, meaning they have a very specific set of rules they want to live by. In fact, they only agreed to star in their reality show if religion played a part of their story and their family was front and center. To the rest of us, though, these rules seem a little strange. No shame, but no "full-frontal" hugs, no women wearing pants, and no social media until married? What's going on here? This conservative crew certainly causes waves across the religious spectrum, from the deeply devout to the mostly secular. No matter what, though, we can't stop watching this family live their daily lives -- crazy rules and all! Take a look at the rules that are the most surprising -- they are certain to raise a few eyebrows.
