Kylie, step aside. After promoting her new makeup line on social media for a few weeks now, Kim Kardashian raked in some serious dough the first day -- actually make that first minutes -- it went on sale. Ready to die? Kim made $14 million the first few minutes her KKW Beauty kits were made available to the public.

The item on sale was a Creme Contour and Highlight Kit for $48 -- and there were only 300,000 of them available. The success of the Selfish author's foray into the cosmetics field isn't all that surprising, but wow. $14 mill in a few minutes!

Before it went on sale, beauty industry insiders predicted KKW Beauty would be a massive success. Women's Wear Daily reported, "Industry sources expect that KKW will blow through the reported 300,000 units that were produced of her $48 Creme Contour & Highlight Kit in less than five minutes, amassing $14.4 million in sales."

And that she did.

So excited for tonight's KKW BEAUTY launch event!

More from CafeMom:

Earlier on this week, Kim was under fire for appearing to darken her skintone in an effort to sell her makeup kits. Kim apologized for offending anyone, but maintained that she was just tan -- and she kept the offending photo on her social media accounts.

KKWBEAUTY.COM is now live!!!!

Clearly, the photo in question didn't prevent fans from purchasing Kim's makeup.

Before launching her own line, Kim collaborated with her younger sister Kylie, creating the KKW x Kylie Lip Kits for Kylie Cosmetics. That, too, sold out in minutes, raking in around $13 million, so it's not exactly a shock that Kim has now gotten into the makeup business, as well.

But man, $14 million in a few minutes. That one's going to take a while to wrap our heads around. Damn.
