Jill Duggar Reminds Us All of the Dangers She Faced in Central America

She may be back in the states, but her heart is still in the mission field. Jill (Duggar) Dillard asked for prayers for a friend on Instagram on Tuesday, giving us a reminder of the dangers too many people in the world face today.

Jill and her hubby Derick Dillard have served as missionaries on and off for nearly two years now, spending the majority of their time in El Salvador with their young son Israel.

They're currently in Arkansas awaiting the birth of their second child, but Jill used her social media presence to ask her followers to pray for a friend in Central America.

She shared a pic of them together, and said, "Thinking about one of my sweet friends in Central America. This was the night before we left to come back and prepare for #babydilly2 Keep our friends in your prayers as they face hardships everyday and continue to press on in ministry."

Jill and Derick have shared before about some of the scary things they've faced while living in a developing nation. Not only have they both faced serious health problems, they've also been involved in some pretty dangerous situations.

When her sister Jessa (Duggar) Seewald visited her last year, she explained, "There's a lot of violence here. You have to be careful about the water that you drink. There are all kinds of snakes and scorpions and tarantulas and cougars! And just a lot of things that could worry you, especially as a mom."

It's no wonder that Jill would ask for continued prayers for her friends in Central America.
