It's no secret by now that Jinger (Duggar) Vuolo has broken out of her family's ultra conservative dress code by wearing things like pants, shorts, and even sleeveless blouses. But her latest wardrobe choice is bound to make her parents shake their heads and wonder where they went wrong in raising her.

You guys. Jinger wore Nikes. Her hubby Jeremy Vuolo posted a couple of snaps to his Instagram this week of her rocking not only some cute pants, sneakers, and a T-shirt, but also Air Jordans and a shirt emblazoned with "Nike."

Now there isn't anything specifically wrong with this ... until you consider that "Nike" is the code word that Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar would use with their sons in public if a scantily clad woman was within viewing distance. You know, to protect their virtue and virgin eyes from seeing a hint of thigh or possibly collarbone.

In Growing Up Duggar, the book co-authored buy Jinger and her sisters Jana, Jessa, and Jill, the girls wrote about the kinds of clothes they liked to wear to honor God and their future husbands. They explained, "We avoid low-cut, cleavage-showing, gaping, or bare-shouldered tops; and when needed, we wear an undershirt. We try to make it a habit to always cover the top of our shirt with our hand when we bend over. We don't want to play the peekaboo game with our neckline."

They also said that they had a code word to keep the males in the family from placing their gaze upon such a scantily clad woman. Nike. "That's a signal to the boys, and even to Dad, that they should nonchalantly drop their eyes and look down at their shoes as we walk past her ... It's meant to help keep the guys' eyes from seeing things they shouldn't be seeing. By using the single-word signal, the warning can be given quietly and discreetly."

Of course it's possible that this wardrobe choice was entirely a coincidence ... but since "Nike" was apparently such a big part of Jinger's childhood, we're thinking that she's making it clear to her parents and everyone else that she marches to the beat of her own drum, thankyouverymuch.
