Buying Kim Kardashian's Sex Tape Is a Huge Waste of Money
So, word has it that some anonymous person with a lot of cash wants to buy Kim Kardashian's sex tape. It's not any new footage, but rather the same old one she filmed with her ex, Ray J, back in 2007 that launched her career to the incredible heights it has hit today. The same one that bazillions of people the world over have watched -- two million just during her wedding weekend. Yet this noble person now wants to come in and rescue Kim's virtue and take it off the web forever.
Nashville attorney Adam Dread wrote in a letter obtained by CNN, "Recently, I was approached by a private party who asked us to look into the possibility of acquiring all rights (and copies) of the Vivid 'Kim Kardashian Sex Tape.' Unless I'm told otherwise, this is all confidential."
It's a nice gesture by whoever is gesturing, but it won't do any good. And, why now?
The tape has already spread as far and wide as Kim does in the video. There are bootleg copies galore, and the thing won't just go away because someone buys it from the sites selling it. If you want to see it, you don't have to look too far.
Even if they are successful in wiping it from the Internet, there's still the video for her single, "Jam (Turn It Up)," which is pretty much the same thing as her sex tape. There are also her Playboy shoot and the pictures she was so embarrassed of in W magazine. The fact is, if you want to see Kim Kardashian naked and sexy, there are plenty of places to look. So why bother buying this one tape?
The only sense it would make is if the anonymous buyer is, in fact, her new husband, Kris Humphries. Then it might be sort of a sweet, sentimental, protective gesture, a wedding gift of sorts. I don't know just how much buying such a sex tape would cost, but I'm sure it's a pretty penny. If I were Kim, I'd rather have some jewelry instead as the whole sex tape has really done her a lot more good than harm anyway.
Who do you think is the anonymous person looking to buy Kim Kardashian's sex tape? Do you think buying it will do any good?
